"When your work speaks for itself, don't interrupt." - Henry J. Kaiser

Group workshops allow participants to learn and develop new skills in a dynamic and fun setting. Unlike the standard classroom, workshops act as both a catalyst and an extension of the child's personal efforts. Participants learn by doing, by practicing, by allowing themselves to apply newly learned skills in their daily routines. The 'work' performed in the 'workshop' is merely some of the glue that holds it all together.

Imagine you want to teach your child how to play golf. You can choose between two strategies:

1) A professional golfer spends three long intensive and grueling days with the student. The professional talks for hours, demonstrates every swing they know, and shares all the tricks of the trade. After the three days are over, they shake hands and wish your child well.

2) A professional golfer spends two to three hours with the student, once a week, for eight weeks. Each week, the professional teaches a single skill related to the sport and gives the student homework. The student practices during the week and when they meet again, they review what the student has learned and study the next single skill necessary to master the sport. After eight weeks, the professional schedules some follow-up sessions so that the student's progress can be monitored and guided.

Brain Cafe designs its workshops so as to establish lasting and enduring skills. The lessons of spaced repetition are employed to help your child develop both depth and breadth in the skill-sets necessary to succeed.

And as we stated earlier, these workshops are fun! There is nothing more fun in life than learning, and there is nothing more motivating than succeeding.
